Four Steps for Building Effective Teams

1. The Foundation of Healthy Teams

The 3-4 hour training session on teamwork will cover essential topics that help participants understand the significance of working in a team and how to build a high-performing team. The following topics will be included in the session:

Why Teams:

Participants will learn the importance of teams and why they are crucial for achieving organizational goals. They will also understand the key characteristics of high-performing teams and how they differ from mediocre ones. Additionally, the five dysfunctions of a team and the stages of effective team development will be covered.

 

Team Culture:

This section of the training will focus on developing a team culture that promotes diversity, inclusion, and collaboration. Participants will learn how to engage and work together effectively by balancing the strengths and potential limitations of team members. They will also learn about cultural intelligence (CQ), which refers to the ability to relate to and work effectively with a diverse group of team members with unique characteristics, strengths, limitations, frustrations, and means of communication. The importance of organization and team values in shaping team culture will also be discussed.

 

The Ideal Team Player: 


This part of the training will cover the key traits of an ideal team player, which include being humble, hungry, and smart. Participants will learn the importance of self-awareness and self-care, curiosity, teachability, servant mindset, accountability, and effective communication and connecting.

 

By the end of the training, participants will have a better understanding of the significance of working in a team and the key elements that contribute to building a high-performing team. They will also have practical tools and strategies to help them foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration within their teams.
